HOW TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF YOUR KID'S PARTY

You may be asking yourself why there is a tip here on maintaining control of your child’s party. Well, as you may or may not know if you are faced with a room of excited children without a plan, it can be nearly impossible to maintain control of your child’s party.

This is the type of situation where having an experienced planner can go a long way. Since there are scheduled events and themes, there is an order that is calming and the party planner is experienced in dealing with multiple children of multiple age groups. So the stress of trying to figure out how to manage a large group of say 6 year olds can be left to the professionals.

You will have the peace of mind to enjoy watching your child laughing and having fun while you sit peacefully with the other parents and enjoy the events. Or, if you want to be more active you can join in with the party planners for a truly invigorating family event.

If you chose not to use the party planners, after all, you will want to ensure that you have a lot of help. You don’t want to try to do it all by yourself, especially on party day. You have got to have help. When you have helpers who are there to support you it can make it easier for you.

If you are going to look at some possible helpers, these are some options you could consider:

* Ask a friend or friends and/or family members to help or
* Specifically ask one of the parents for their help

Whatever you do, do not assume that just because the parents of the children you invited are there, this will mean that they will help you because that is not always the case and often it is not the case. And not only will they not help you but they might take offence to you assuming that they would.

If you do enlist the help of helpers, you want to make sure that you ask for their help long before the day of the party. Don’t wait until the last minute to ask.

List clear expectations for the helpers so that there is no confusion later, and make sure to express your appreciation, before, during and after. This can go a long way.

Remember, the parent is here for their child, not for you, so if you have been riding the fence as to whether or not you want to hire a helper like a party planner, it might be time to start to seriously consider the benefits of this option.

Just keep in mind that the planner is not your enemy and they are not out to bleed you dry. They do what they do because they love parties and if they can help make your party the best that it can be they will do that for you.

You are not obligated to spend a fortune, you can simply purchase what you need to purchase, and in a lot of cases you can get an entire package for the same price that would have spent doing all the work yourself, so why do all the work yourself when you can enjoy the party with your child?
